I hope you're as excited to be here as I am! This whole exchange letter business really is the hardest part of the process for me, but I'm committed, so here goes. I'm gonna try to give you at least one prompt, my thoughts, and my DNWs, in approximately that order. If I leave off thoughts or DNWs, it's because I don't really have any. Of course, as always, feel free to ignore my prompts and do what your heart wills. I'm just happy you're writing for me!

Thoughts: How much you want to play this as University Romcom/Drama vs a more canon tone with references to Jon and Georgie's paranormal experiences and even the possibility of another one occuring to create story? Is up to you.

Prompt: After the end of the world, All of the Entities have come through...including both The Stranger and The End - meaning an old crush of Melanie's may not be so far away as she has been the last few years...and when your girlfriend physically can't feel fear and wants you to be happy even after the end of the world, well... that spells a mission to take those last steps to bring her the rest of the way back, doesn't it?

Prompt: When and how did this friendship turn romantic? I don't have any headcanons. How about something canon-compliant that'll give me one?

Prompt: Sasha was the one who made the call to Georgie after Melanie's statement, and despite the fact that it was a professional conversation, they hit it off and end up on a date.
Thoughts: Georgie and Sasha are both Book Smart and Legitimately Clever and very different kinds of brave and I have every reason to think they'd get along beautifully - but ultimately? All I want is for Sasha to like Hungarian Food.

Prompt: Bottle Episode. Just put these three in a room together and let them go. Bonus points if they're stuck there.
Thoughts: It'll take an AU to properly unfuck the mess that canon's left them in, and I really do encourage you to take the prompt into an AU so that their personalities can shine, but if you're super into the drama that their situation can create if you stick them together, go for it.

Thoughts: I was trying really hard to come up with prompts for these, but ultimately, when I think about what I want to see in any of these dynamics? It really just boils down to the fact that I love them all and want to smash them together and make them love each other too. If you can do that in a canon-compliant way, my hats off to you, but really I'm expecting any level of AU, from Canon Divergent to Coffee Shop.
Jonathan Sims/Inspector Lyfrassir Edda (The Mechanisms)
Prompt: Lyfrassir doesn't plan to stop anywhere for long, and he definitely didn't plan to take on any passengers. But an emergency landing on a the Nightmare Planet that use to be Earth introduces him to the man who changed it - and who has lost all his reasons to stay on it. Once repairs are made, they take to the stars together - and just keep going.
Thoughts: What would these two make of the parallels between Lyfrassir's home system and ancient mythology from Jon's world? Would Jon even bring it up, or would he mull over it in secret? While Lyfrassir is trapped on earth, what do they encounter of The Fears? How often do they have to protect each other with their meager abilities? ...I am prepared for Jon's reasons to be ready to run to Hurt. Do your Worst. ...I'm going to regret saying that but it'll be the good kind of regret.
DNW: Extended Fixation on the similarity of their voices (multiple jokes are okay), allo Jon, sex repulsed Jon.

Prompt: When the Mechanisms last visited earth, Jon compelled a statement out of Jonny. A little time fluidness later and they're back - before the last time they were here. It's a little early for straight-up revenge, but subtlity isn't Jonny's specialty.
Thoughts: During the live shows, like the ones available on youtube, the Mechanisms regularly use contradictory time tenses, most typically past and future, suggesting time travel is a common occurance for them. "it happened for me but not for you" is my favorite time travel trope, and a situation I feel like Jonny would be well out of his depth in.
DNW: Noncon, Extended Fixation on the similarity of their voices (multiple jokes are okay), allo Jon, sex repulsed Jon, Major Character Death.

Prompt: AU where it wasn't a random bully to save Jon from Mr. Spider, it was Gerry. Gerry, of course, handled it much better, burned the book and comforted Jon - and they stayed in touch well into adulthood.
Thoughts: Yes I've seen this premise before. But, an extension of the two cakes theory - you can never have enough cakes.

Prompt: An Outdoor Adventure goes Wrong for Tim in what, logically, should be the worst way - but it's just so exciting. The hot, mysterious blond guy with the scar that keeps showing up doesn't hurt matters either.
Thoughts: aka Tim has a sexy Vast experience with Mike.
Martin Blackwood/Gerard Keay
Prompt: A fake CV to a major used book retailer has landed Martin a supervisory position out the gate and he's still new on the job when The Book From Hell, possibly literally, crosses his desk. Gerard Keay is something of a Gothic Knight in Leather Armor, and rather than never seeing him again - Martin braves rejection and offers to buy him dinner. Gerry's not in the business of turning down free food, so it begins.
